Transport

What we haul

If it has a motor and handlebars, ask. One machine or a few, running or not.

  • Sportbikes
  • Cruisers & touring
  • Dirt bikes & motocross
  • Dual-sports & adventure
  • ATVs & quads
  • Scooters & mopeds
  • Pit bikes & youth bikes
  • Project bikes

Side-by-sides, UTVs, trikes or something else? Call and ask, and we'll tell you if it fits.

Private sales

Found the right bike out of state? We pick it up from the seller and bring it to your door.

Dealer and auction pickups

We collect from dealerships, auctions and shops, and deliver to you or your next stop.

Moves and non-runners

Moving, heading to the track or trails, or it won't start? It can still go. Let us know if it doesn't roll so we bring the right gear.

How your bike rides with us

  • Front wheel set in a chock so the bike stays straight
  • Soft loops on the bars and frame, so straps never touch paint or chrome
  • Ratchet straps pulled snug, rechecked after the first few miles and at every stop
  • Hitch carrier for single bikes, open trailer for two or more, or for ATVs and bigger machines
  • Photos at pickup and delivery so you can see the condition both ends

How it works

Same four steps for a haul or a mechanic visit.

  1. 1

    Request a quote

Tell us where the bike is, where it's going or what it needs.

  2. 2

    Get your price

We reply with a price and an open time slot. No surprise charges.

  3. 3

    We show up

We load and secure the bike, or set up and do the work where it sits.

  4. 4

    Done

Your bike is delivered and handed over, or back in your garage ready to ride.

Service, repairs and upgrades in your driveway

Street bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters and other powersports.

Skip hauling your bike to a shop and waiting weeks for a slot. We bring the tools to your home or work and do the job where the bike sits. If a job needs a lift or more time, we can pick the bike up and bring it back.

Service and maintenance

Keep it running right and catch problems early.

  • Oil and filter change, with the right oil for your engine
  • Chain and sprockets: clean, lube, adjust or replace
  • Brakes: pads, fluid flush, bleed
  • Coolant, air filter and spark plugs
  • Battery: test, charge or replace
  • Dirt bike and ATV care: air filter clean and oil, chain, valve-check scheduling, post-ride washdown checks
  • Spring wake-up and winter storage prep

Diagnosis and repair

When something's wrong and you want to know why.

  • No-start and runs-rough troubleshooting
  • Electrical: charging, lighting, wiring, switches
  • Code scan on bikes with diagnostic ports
  • Fuel system: carb cleaning, fuel pumps, filters
  • Cables, levers and controls
  • Pre-purchase inspection before you buy a used bike

Upgrades and installs

Bought the parts? We'll put them on. Need parts? We can source them.

  • Exhaust: slip-ons and full systems
  • Intakes, tuners and fuel controllers
  • Lighting: LED headlights, turn signals, tail tidies
  • Protection: frame sliders, crash bars, skid plates, hand guards
  • Fairings and bodywork swaps
  • Controls: levers, grips, mirrors, phone mounts

What we need from you

A flat, safe spot to work, like a driveway, garage or parking space, and access to the bike.

Parts

Supply your own or have us source them. Either way, the price is agreed before work starts.

Bundle it

Who you're dealing with

Rider-owned, hands-on

RecoveryGeek is run by Demitrius, a rider who works on his own bikes and hauls other people's. When you call 919-421-7785, you talk to the person who will load your bike or turn the wrenches.

Every job gets the same care we'd want for our own bike: straight answers, a price up front, and photos so you can see what was done.

Questions

How much does it cost?

Transport is priced on distance, number of bikes, and whether the bike runs. Mechanic work is priced on the job and parts. Send a quote request and you'll get an exact price before anything is booked.

Can you move a bike that doesn't run?

Yes. Just tell us whether it rolls so we bring the right equipment.

How should I prep the bike for pickup?

Remove loose items like bags, covers and phone mounts, and leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Tell us about any leaks or damage before the trip.

Do I need to be there?

Someone needs to hand over the bike and keys at pickup and receive it at delivery. A seller or dealer can do this for you.

Do you work on dirt bikes and ATVs?

Yes. We haul and service dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters and other powersports, not just street bikes. For anything unusual, call and ask.

Can you install parts I bought online?

Yes. Send what you have, including links or part numbers, and we'll confirm fitment and quote the install.
